Reading is good, writing is good, phone interviews are eep!
I read at lunch at work, and for the first month I always took mystery books from the library and when people came in to use the microwave each of them asked once what I was reading and nobody's ever asked again. So now I'm reading a Mercedes Lackey with goopy non-representative art on the cover, but nobody's asked. Hah.
Also, someone pointed me at a source of what looks like very bad romance/erotica/porn sorted for having Canadian themes (one with a polar bear shapeshifter for example, and several with mounties) and I bought a few for the kobo, including one promising steamy locker room scenes between two male hockey players, but unfortunately my kobo cable is missing so I cannot tell you whether I had the nerve to read them at work.
