Afternoon Breakfast.
So I just made pancakes this morning and discovered two (2) things.
1) Substituting baking soda for baking powder is a bad idea (but not a terrible one).

2) We actually do have syrup (thanks S!), just not maple syrup. I was spoiled as a child.

Yes, you were spoiled, and you don't even remember the ourageously expensive maple syrup in Germany.
I heartily recommend acquiring the right stuff, and while you are there grab some blueberries for extra decadence ;-)
