Limited Profile. For little cousins (and I think she's 11 or 12 - same as Teigan) definitely, whether or not you do it for your uncle.
Facebook sucks relative to LJ in many ways - one is the way more subtle privacy settings on LJ. But Limited Profile helps. And once you get it set up for snoopy cousins, then you can use it later for employers or whatever.
One of my brothers is on FB now, which is also a little weird for me. He's odd himself, in an unshockable kind of way, but still.
