I have now survived my very first FYP lecture!!! It was on the Epic of Gilgamesh and very interesting. The Lecturer wasn't really that great but he did compare the battle between Gilgamesh and Enkidu to the guitar solos at the beginning of Brown Sugar by the Rolling Stones so that gets bonus points.

I've finally got my internet up and running which is key. But I think that my e-mail isn't working ... so I'm going to have to figure out what's going on. I did send out an e-mail, so if no one got it then I'm going to have to fix this situation.

So yeah, very excited I am. My room mate is great and people are friendly. I've already seen two people from KC. Lauren who I didn't really know before and who is also in FYP and Jocob P. who I knew was going to be at Dal. I love random encounters on the street.

I think I'm going to go to lunch soon... anyway I have to restart my computer because of updates.

Right....

So I'm starting to get a bit antsy because my tutorial doesn't start for another half an hour and I have no idea what to expect... I feel like maybe I should have written notes for all of the readings I did or... have some questions from the lecture or the readings or SOMETHING... anyway. I like Gilgamesh (he became Gil. in all of my notes) and I like the ancient stuff, and it mostly makes sense to me so I can;t think of anything to say so far. Except that the lecturer seemed sightly disorganized and rambly... and half of me feels like I should be taking notes and the other half thinks I should just listen instead. I find it hard to go half way... but I think I'm doing alright.

GAAA!!! Ramble ramble... brain is crazy... must go to Haliburton Room but still have twenty minutes...

The next lecture is on Ancient Egypt. Yippie!
