Happy Easter to all those who celebrate and happy Easter chocolate to everyone else! (You know I actually didn't know until two years ago that there was such a thing as "Easter Dinner" where you went and spent time with family and had a feast, usually with ham. No one has ever accused me of being a good Christian. Of course being a Pagan might have something to do with that...)

Normally Easter means nothing more than some chocolate and other candy-goodness in association with two days off of school. Although lately it's been the start of Spring exams (oh gods, my brain has been taken over by Latin. Just as I was typing that I thought to myself "hunh, that's an x so it counts as two consonnents and that means that the e is long" this of course only applies when one is scanning Latin poetry to find the metre. I am such a nerd). But this year we found out that all the families on our street do an Easter-Egg hunt every year. We just got in from going out and searching to find all the eggs that were hidden in Tall places that the little kids couldn't reach, and it was GREAT. I love my neighbourhood. Our awesome neighbours who organized it and got everyone to donate candy also gave us the unwrapped candy that they got because they didn't want to put them in the eggs in case they got wet, "for while you're studying for exams," she said.

What a great idea!

Also we got a big snowfall last night so everything is white even though it isn't cold and it makes finding colourful plastic eggs just that much easier.

Also Also I got some virtual candy on my LJ. Thanks [livejournal.com profile] hobbitbabe! It's always nice to get candy from your (other)mother. Hope you're having a good holiday!

I think that I would haveto agree with that statement. Mmmmm Lamb. I think that I have to keep taking close looks at the meat section in our local Sobey's. Or perhaps take a stroll down to the Superstore because I think that they have a better selection...

Although I did make salsa chicken thighs last night, and prooved that a half batch is neither hard to make nor able to sustain leftovers.

Oh, good idea. I never thought of making a half batch of that chicken.
