Things I would very much like to start watching and sadly don't have the time:

1. Being Human
2. Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog
3. Castle
4. All the Star Trek movies in preparation for the new one
5. Dexter
6. Six Feet Under in preparation for not being in the same city as Kathleen who owns the entire series.
7. Watchmen

... perhaps I shall make the time (for a few of them at least).

Don't bother with the first Trek movie or the 4th and 5th. I promise you won't miss anything.

I can never remember, is it evens or odds that are consistently the worse movies?

Well, it's mostly the odds. The third one is The Search for Spock. Since Nimoy was directing that he wasn't in it until the last few scenes, but the movie's still good.

1, 4 and 5... oh. So bad.
