Today has just not been my day. Firstly I'm sick. I hate being sick. Secondly I have a shit-load of Dante to read for tomorrow. Sinus Headaches and Dante just don't go together. Don't get me wrong, I like the Divine Comedy, I just wish that I didn't have to read a large chunk of it for tommorrow when I'd much rather be vegging out reading mindless things or watching copious amounts of Stargate.
Then this morning I of course knock over absolutely everything as I'm getting ready to go to class, ending on a high note by smashing my glass bowl (I'd just got it from the superstore a month ago and it had really grown on me) into a million little pieces ten minutes before I had to be in class. I was sure that it hadn't been close to the edge of my desk too.
Anyway the main up-side is that I have linoleum floors and it was therefore relatively easy to clean it up. The down-side, of course, in volved many small pieces and cutting my fingers. And being SICK!
I feel terrible and am not looking forward to the week of DOOM which is coming up in a little more than a week.
It goes as follows:
Nov 10th - Astronomy Quiz
Nov 14th - FYP midterm !!!!!!!!!! (i.e. death)
Nov 16th - FYP Paper 2.2 (followed by drunkeness)
Nov 18th - Parent(s) visit (basically the first time I've seen her/them since June) (i.e. light at the end of the tunnel)
On the other hand, my astronomy prof. is really funny. He actually uses phrases like "Holy Hannah!" and hums as he goes through his lectures. The humming is actually realy remenescent of the Archivist from Halo. You know the little blue glowy thing...
It gave me a little bit of geeky happiness in this otherwise relatively bad day.
