aderam | FYP Paper = Hell on Earth

Okay... so it's not quite as Hellish as it was roughly two hours ago or so... but I can still complain dammit! (That's what LJ's are for after all, bitching about everything into cyber-space so that you can be normal in the world.) (yes I did just say cyber-space. Isn't that just so much fun?)

Anyway right now it's eight o'clock and I have 124 words of a 1200 word paper that's due tomorrow at 9.30. That's right. I've got my introduction and NOTHING else. Do you know why? Because I have had a severe lack of brain for the entire weekend. I tried working on my paper. Honest. Nicole my roomie can tell you that. The problem of course was that I couldn't concentrate AT ALL. The result of which is of course having to write it all out right now! Even though my brain was gone sheer moments ago and it's not running on all cylinders now that it's actually put in an appearance.

However all is not lost! It is possible to hand it in late! I still have two lates where they'll just lower my mark before I get an F and still have to write the paper (otherwise I fail the year. Doesn't that suck?).

AND (much thanks to the lovely and toasty

affabletoaster) I have found a slight, little bit of focus, which means that the light at the end of the tunnel (where we (me and the voices in my head) hand in our paper) just might fall on the right side of the deadline.

Lis and I went walking after dinner tonight and talked about a bunch of random things, including Stargate and my paper. She's already done, the bastard. (But a very lovable bastard I assure you!!!!) And I now have meaning in my life! Er... paper... same thing. No, not the same thing! .... whatever...

So if the Gods of FYP papers are on my side then it might just be possible for me to finish my paper tonight (or tomorrow morning! I love my coffeeeeeeeee!) and avoid the late charge of doom which is the docking of marks.

On a happier note I got a lot of fun procrastination in, reading fanfic of a show I've never seen. It's a weird way to do things, but I'm not sure how I started and then I really liked the characters... I must check and see if it's on DVD or possibly the History channel. The show's called NCIS and I'm pretty sure they did a joint episode of JAG that I've seen because the characters seemed very familiar to me. Anyway, so it turns out I'm a bit of a fandom slut... but you probably already knew that.
