I hadn't realized that I missed squirrels until I got here and they're everywhere. The bastards. I know you, Squirrel! I don't care how cute you are, I know you're just a rat with a puffy tail. A really cute puffy tail... especially when you're all fat for winter.

Anyway back to my date with Akhilleus...

(Do you think he'll still want to go out with me after I finish this paper? Even though I'm starting to see Odysseus a wee bit as well?)

Wait, there are no squirrels in Halifax? How?

There are, just not nearly as many as there are around here. I feel like I've seen more chipmunks in town than Squirrels, and I didn't even really notice how few there were around until I got here and can't look outside with being starred at by a little furry rodent. There are far more pidgeons though. (which is just impressive considering the number of pidgeons around here too).

Hmm. I have found that the things Edmontonians call squirrels look like what I would call chipmunks, but they insist chipmunks are different. There are no enormous roundish squirrels out here. Maybe it's like that in Halifax?
