So things have been happening around here that're OSM. and in an effort to procrastinate from doing my paper, I will recount them now. Any pretencious language can be atributed to getting into the spirit of FYP essays. I gravely apologise.

Firstly, Sam has taken to Firefly like a fish to a frying pan (and chips). It's hilarious, because he seems like such a serious person, and then he'll start laughing and other such funness ensues. I still don't understand how people (no names) can think that he's being serious when he wears his French Revolutionary garb (black turtleneck sweater, black beret, his glasses, which he doesn't always wear, almost imperceptable smirk...). he said to me the other day, "Yeah, I should give you back the third disk... and you should give me the next one..."

It was almost as funny as the time we told terrible jokes all the way through dinner. I started something horrible that night. I'm sure Lis and Jennalee will never forgive us.

Yesturday Lis and I went to the Wal-mart at the mall to get me printer paper and we ended up having a very successful trip in other respects as well. We got yarn and I got myself some knitting needles (they're 5.5 mm). Yes that's right, I'm knitting. I blame Lis. She showed me how to cast on last night and I'm now working happily on a scarf. It's striped black and green and I'm now working on my seventh stripe. I'm surprised at how good it looks because I distinctly remember that all of my previous attempts at knitting were nnot very successful.

I also got a pair of blue and black striped, knee-high socks because I couldn't resist and a cheep set of decent needles so that I could sew up the hole in my shoes. Current status: fix-ed! Current Status of Needles: four casualties.

Anyway, I really excited about this knitting thing. Lis is going to show me how to make a hat once I finish the scarf. And at the current speed that won't take too too long. And totally not excited about the paper (but then, when is anyone?). None of the questions were at all inspiring, and I'm worried that I don't have enough to say about Aristotle and his views on Art and Forms and other such wonderful crap!

At least Aristotle is better than Plato. Even though Plato tends to haunt you. The damn FYP tutors were right!
